We are all fascinated by the rich texture that can be achieved using lamination felting technique, betraying nothing about the process. How to achieve those rich textures on felt?  How to create different surfaces using silk fabrics and fibers? How to think and work in reverse, building your design backwards to secure your design? How to lay down five extremely thin layers of silks and wool, and still end up with a lightweight, drapey scarf?  How to create even but colorful fringes? How to felt with no (or very little) rolling? 

In this workshop we’ll discover possibilities beyond the basic nunofelting technique. I will show you many of the techniques I use to layer and enrich the surface. We'll work on black or white thin silk gauze as a base, and add colors with silk fibers, fabrics and wool. 

By the end of this one-day workshop you'll be able to complete one scarf with nice fringes.
