About the Event
In this workshop you will learn techniques for creating an extremely lightweight yet well felted nunofelt scarf.
We’ll use two layers of silk hankies and two layers of silk fabrics to create organic marble designs on the two sides of the scarf. You’ll be challenged to lay the superfine merino wool extremely thin to create a drapey and featherweight fabric.
Fringes are optional on the scarf.
We’ll significantly reduce the rolling time by applying the “dryer method”.
Learning about the finishing touches is an important part of the class.
Very sharp scissors are essential to successfully cut nice shapes from the silk fabrics, please bring your own if you have a good pair!
