Learn about the traditions of Central Asian rug felting, and get inspired by the clean lines and timeless designs of nomad felts. In this online workshop there are 3 recorded modules accompanied by detailed written descriptions of the 3 projects of different felting concepts to create structural flat felt using prefelts and powerful designs. Each project takes 5-6 hours to complete. Industrial and handmade prefelts will be introduced and taught to work with.  

This class is a great opportunity to explore different qualities of wool and learn how to work with batts, but it is OK to work with tops, too.

The lessons will be released on Saturdays: July 27, Aug 10 and 24.

There will be 3, one-hour-long Zoom meetings on the following Sundays:  Aug 4, 18 and Sept 1, from 10 am PDT, when we’ll gather in an online class room, exchange ideas and get all your questions answered.
