Among all projects, felting a Christmas stocking is probably my favorite short class to teach. It is a very playful project where you can experiment with different materials and ideas, and complete a small but fun project in just a few hours. This project doesn't require physical strength or stamina, you can work while sitting at the dinner table, enjoying your favorite drink.

In this class we will work on a resist to create a hollow shape, and will introduce different materials (fabrics, yarns, fibers) that work well when combined with wool. We'll use a special feature of felting: dry, loose, unfelted wool can be attached and felted into the layout and to partially felted areas, and we'll focus on the final shaping, too.
