In Kyrgyzstan, when a daughter got married, her mother felted her a rug with the female members of the community. Using their ancient symbols, they felted their best wishes and good luck into the rug that stayed with the daughter for the rest of her life.

In this two-day workshop, I'll help you make your own pads using either the several hundred-year-old symbols or by making up your very own. We'll create two pads with reversed motifs using the prefelt inlay technique.
