Let's felt small Christmas stockings to experiment with various fibers, fabrics, colors and texture. We will work on a resist pattern to create a hollow shape. This felting class is not a physically demanding felting project, but it is a lot of fun!

About the Event
Among all projects, felting a Christmas stocking is probably my favorite short class to teach. It is a very playful project where you can try working different materials and ideas, and complete a small project in just a few hours.
In this class we will work on a resist to create a hollow shape, and will introduce different materials (fabrics, yarns, fibers) that work well when combined with wool. We'll use a special feature of felting: dry, loose, unfelted wool can be attached and felted into partially felted areas.
We'll focus on the final shaping, too.
The techniques learnt in the class can be applied on a larger scale and on different projects, too.
All supplies and materials will be provided.
Please wear non-slippery shoes.
